It's looking like we're sold (fingers crossed!), just have to find somewhere to go now. But it was all a bit chaotic. Some of my fabric has ended up in storage (and why is it always the fabrics you need which you put away!). Then there was the manic 5 minutes before each viewing when all the day-to-day stuff of just living in a house gets crammed into a wardrobe or kitchen cupboard! Does anyone really live in one of those tidy, immaculate houses you see in magazines?
So sewing has taken a bit of a back seat for a little while. But I did manage to get my custom 'bunny bag' completed. I decided the only way the rabbits was going to work was if I made a patchwork with large squares and each rabbit in each one. The colours remind me a bit of Neopolitan ice-cream.
The customer liked it and she even had some rabbit fabric left over so she can use it for something else.
I did also manage to get a cat fabric version completed (there seems to be a bit of animal theme this week!).
At long last I'm also finally getting around to a bag I promised my closest friend last June. We met up in London and I bought some lovely fabric from Liberty, which I promised I'd make some into a small bag for her. I'm all ready to start but just can't decide which lining and strap to use.
Should I go with the pale blue & navy?
Or the turquoise?
What do you think?
I think the the pale blue and navy ... either way they both make lovely combinations
ReplyDeleteI like the pale blue and navy!! The dotted fabric looks more like a grey on my screen, which I like, but even with it actually being blue... i like the dark straps better!!
ReplyDeleteI think i would also like the turquoise lining with the navy stap!
ReplyDeleteI like the turquoise as it is more spring like. The navy is a bit more formal I think. Love the rabbits :)
ReplyDeleteI like the turquoise. Good luck with the house selling, it's a pain having to shove everything out of sight.
ReplyDeleteI like the turquoise, but then I like bright colours! I love the bunny bag, it's fabulous. And well done on selling your house. I hated the viewings when we were selling, I used to end up having to stuff the car full of stuff to keep it out of the way!! xx
ReplyDeleteOooohhhh......pale blue for me! Your bags look fabulous as always x
ReplyDeleteI live in one of those tidy immaculate houses, but whatever you do should you visit, please don't open any cupboard doors - I can only just about get them closed (with super glue). The turquoise is a nice contrast, but I really like the pale blue and navy. Hope you have a good week.
ReplyDeleteThe pale blue and navy! it looks grey on my screen too though! Bunny bag is great :)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely the pale blue and navy - although it looks grey on my screen too!
ReplyDeleteoooh i love the bunny bag! The patchwork works really well i bet your customer is thrilled with it :) I love the cat bag too, the pink spotty lining sets it off perfectly.
ReplyDeleteI think the pale blue and navy would be my choice for your friends bag but either would look fab! x
Cute bags! I like the pink bag.

I do love that Liberty design. I know that dilemma all too well as the choice of "extras" alongside a main fabric makes such a difference to the look and feel!
ReplyDeleteLove the turquoise lining but I might also be tempted to play safe with the navy strap
I like the pale blue and navy. Love the bunny bag. So cute xx
ReplyDeleteWell done on your sale - hope all the packing, moving and everything else goes well. Both colour-ways are really nice, but I think the blue and navy are more striking together. Hope you have a good week.
ReplyDeleteI love the bunny bag, how cute! Definitely the top combo for the bag :-)
ReplyDeleteNavy and pale blue for me. I like the rabbit bag too.
ReplyDeleteAwww the bunny bag is gorgeous! Good luck on the house sale :-) I adore the turquoise, but I think for the bag the light blue & navy works better. Simmi x
ReplyDeleteCan you ask your friend to choose? I would go with turquoise because It's bright and cheery (from someone who has a purple bag :)
ReplyDeleteJanice x
I think the grey matches better but the turquoise would make a great contrast colour. Lovely bags.
ReplyDeleteDont envy you having the hassle of moving house. Love the bunny bag, it's gorgeous. I would go with the navy for your friends bag
ReplyDeleteI love the bunny bag! I can't decide re lining as I like how the grey works with the fabric but I like the brightness of the turquoise. Congrats on selling your home and good luck with finding somewhere new.
