Introducing....the mini pyramid purse. Handmade purses made simple!

I'd made some of these pyramid purses a while ago because I really liked the unusual shape. They are really fun and quite simple to make (and you don't need much fabric!).

Available in my Folksy shop
They are very similar, but much easier to make than these boxy pouches which can be a bit fiddly until you get the hang of them.

I sold one on of the pyramid purses on Folksy quite recently and the customer left me some lovely feedback, but she did comment that it was bigger than she expected. So, prompted by her feedback I made some mini versions. What do you think? Finished with a little lobster clasp, they can be used as useful key rings or bag charms.

It was a lovely sunny day and my washing line serves me very well as a prop for my photography. So, with the sky as a backdrop they almost look like they're flying!

They are really simple to make, so if you're new to bag or purse making then why not give these a go (after you've called in at Handmade Monday to see what everyone else has been up to, of course!)

  1. It's like a rainbow of purses in the sky :-D

Think they would look great as key rings.

  3. They are nice and cheery. Being smaller you could use up lots of smaller bits of fabric that are in our stash. They look really nice hanging on the line.

  6. I love the design but I have to be honest and say I haven't quite got the hang of zippers yet. Sewing them in that is. Love the boxie one.

    1. Oh they're easy with a bit of practice. I'll see if I can find time to do a tutorial on these, 'cos the zippers are really, really easy!
