Haven't been around for Handmade Monday for while. Partly due to computery type issues, but also I've been struggling a bit to find time to sew. Hopefully with the lighter evenings it will start to feel like there's a bit more time.
But I have managed to make this mini-mountain of little puffy purses.
I love the shades of green and pinks. Just need to find time to get them on the website now.
I've also got my first international order. Two of my bucket bags will soon be winging their way to Alaska!
In between the day job, doing the book-keeping for my husbands accounts and making bags, we're also trying to get our house finished to put on the market. Why is it that I've lived in a half-finished house for eight years and now we want to leave Mr HbyH finally gets all those DIY jobs done. It'll be a lovely house two days before we leave!
Oh dear. How very frustrating and such a shame not to enjoy the fruits of your labour. Maybe you are just not destined to live in a complete house! Congratulations on the overseas order - very well deserved. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the top most purse- the fabric is absolutely gorgeous, and the shape of them is perfect too.
ReplyDeleteThey're all lovely - but where on earth are you finding the time to make them? Life sounds manic for you at the moment!
ReplyDeleteVery nice purses - something I've ner tried to make - yet! I emphasise with diy not getting done till you are moving! My OH is the same! grrr!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the 'puffiness' of the purses, I've been experimenting trying to do something similar but haven't managed anything as nice as these!
ReplyDeleteThe fabrics are lovely too
Your purses are gorgeous! They won't hang around long once you get them advertised. How true re:decorating a house you are leaving! Rather than moving I'm sure lots of people should just spring clean or decorate and they'd fall in love with their home all over again. Good luck with all of the many projects you have on at the moment xx
ReplyDeleteHe he :) Isn't that always the way with houses! That, and the box that never gets unpacked :)
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you've had a lot on your plate... well done on the Alaska order...HBH is going global!
I really love your puffy purses, the colours are beautiful, just perfect for spring :) x
Really like the purses! They're so cute! I think the polka dots are my favourite :)
ReplyDeleteI love the little purses. The fabric is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your first international order.
Good luck with your house DIY.
The bucket bags are absolutely lovely! I wish you a calm, fun filled week ahead!
ReplyDeleteI saw your purses on fb. They look beautiful as usual. Fancy going international now!! Very exciting.
ReplyDeletePretty, pretty purses and beautiful bags. Happy house-moving!
ReplyDeleteThe puffy purses are lovely, far too nice to be shoved in handbag, I think I'd carry one on its own.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the house!
Awww love the poofy purses - the spotty one is my favourite :-) Well done getting your first international order - it's really exciting to think of something you've made going across the world! Have a good week, Simmi x
ReplyDeleteI often think that with the property shows - they do loads of work so they can sell and then decide they can stay put :-) Hope it all goes well x I love the colours you've used for the bucket bags, they're a lovely style. Have a good week x
ReplyDeleteHow exciting - Alaska! How funny, this afternoon I was looking at my son's room, and thought we will never be able to move, because we could never let anyone look round our house. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteLove the purses, but my favourite has to be the birdhouse bucket, it's fabulous! How exciting that it will be continuing its adventures so far from home! :) We put the DIY off because it's always a bigger job than you think (my dad's famous for the 'five minute DIY'), leaving even less time for sewing! ;) Good luck!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your sale to Alaska.can you make an extra large bag and fit me inside it to go too!
ReplyDeleteGreat order for your bucket bags, well done. It's difficult finding the time for everything. Good luck with the DIY :)

Sounds like hectic times. As always, I think your bags are so lovely and not at all surprising that you are now know internationally - well done. Good luck with the house 'stuff'. Hope you have a good week.
ReplyDeleteCongratulation on your international order. Alaska is quite a distance for your bags to travel.
ReplyDeletebeautiful fabrics that youve made the bucket bags out of x
